- Thinner cores (about 13 mm and under) typically feel firmer and send the ball off the face faster: more power and a crisper feel, with less touch on soft shots.
- Core material
- Nomex honeycomb is a hard, paper-based aramid core. It is typically louder and more powerful than polypropylene, with less cushioning for touch shots.
- Face
- Graphite faces are thin and stiff, with a crisp, light response that generally favors control.
