Independence
PickleHQ is editorially independent. We are not owned by or affiliated with any paddle brand, retailer or governing body. Brands do not review, approve or edit our content before publication, and we don't accept payment, free products in exchange for coverage, or any other consideration for favorable treatment.
If a brand or retailer lends or gives us a product for testing, we say so on the relevant page. Receiving a product never guarantees coverage or a positive assessment.
Accuracy and sourcing
- Certification status comes from the official USA Pickleball approved list.
- Specifications are recorded from manufacturers and cross-checked against other sources and our own measurements.
- Where sources conflict, we show the discrepancy rather than hiding it.
- Rules content is checked against the current official rulebook, and we note the edition we reference.
- Pages show when they were last updated.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it promptly. Email hello@picklehq.com with the page and what's incorrect, plus a source if you have one. We aim to review reports within two business days.
Minor fixes (typos, formatting) are made silently. Factual corrections that could affect a reader's decision, such as a wrong spec, price context or certification status, are corrected on the page with a dated note describing what changed.
How we use AI
We use AI tools to help us work at the scale of thousands of paddles: organizing and cleaning spec data, spotting inconsistencies between sources, and producing first drafts of some descriptive text.
Every page is reviewed by a human editor before it's published. AI tools do not decide rankings or recommendations, do not generate hands-on test impressions, and are never used to invent reviews, quotes, testimonials or data. A person is accountable for everything we publish.
Affiliate links
Some links on PickleHQ are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the retailer may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. This is how we fund the site.
Affiliate relationships never change our rankings or recommendations. Products are evaluated before we look at where they can be bought, commission rates are not a factor in any list, and we link to products we don't earn from when they're the right recommendation. Pages with affiliate links carry a visible disclosure. Full details are in our affiliate disclosure.
Advertising
If PickleHQ carries advertising in the future, ads will be clearly labeled and kept separate from editorial content. Advertisers have no influence over what we write.
