What decertification means for you

USA Pickleball approves paddles for sanctioned amateur play and tests them against its equipment rules (size, surface roughness, deflection and more). If a paddle is decertified or drops off the approved list, it can't be used in USA Pickleball–sanctioned events until it is approved again. Rec play, leagues and casual games usually aren't affected, but check your club's rules.

UPA-A certifies paddles for PPA Tour and MLP pro events. A UPA-A delisting matters for players at those pro events; amateur and USA Pickleball–sanctioned events still go by the USA Pickleball list.

"Removed from the list" means a paddle we saw on the official USA Pickleball list is no longer there. That's often a decertification, but it can also be a rename or a listing clean-up, so we link to the official source for every entry. Not sure about your paddle? Use the certification checker.
