What these specs mean

Core thickness
A mid-thickness core (about 14 to 15 mm) sits between the two common builds: a bit more pop than 16 mm, a bit more cushion than 13 mm.
Core material
Polypropylene honeycomb is the most widely used core. The plastic cells absorb impact, giving a quiet, soft and forgiving feel that suits control and touch.
Face
Fiberglass faces flex more than carbon, which usually adds pop and power at the cost of some control.

These are typical tendencies of each construction. Weight, balance, surface treatment and each brand's specific materials also change how a paddle plays.

How it compares

  • Thicker than 37% of the 3,338 approved paddles with a listed core thickness.

  • 1 of 653 approved polypropylene honeycomb-core paddles first approved in 2023.
